About

DocCompass is a Chrome extension that helps developers find the exact documentation they need, fast. Instead of getting lost in dense docs, you describe what you’re trying to build and DocCompass points you to the most relevant sections, explains pages in context, and keeps your research organized. I built it while learning new technologies myself, and it’s become my way of turning “docs overwhelm” into a clear, actionable path.

Why it exists
Docs are overwhelming—especially when you’re learning something new. DocCompass helps you skip the noise and get straight to what matters so you can build faster and learn with confidence.

Key Features

  • AI‑Powered Navigation — Find the exact docs sections based on your goal

  • Explain This Page — Instant context, key takeaways, and next steps

  • Search History — Revisit past queries and pick up where you left off

  • Bookmarks + Folders — Save and organize important docs with color tags

  • Copy as Markdown — Export clean results for notes or sharing

How it works

  1. Open any documentation page

  2. Describe what you want to build

  3. Get a structured navigation plan with links, explanations, and contextual help
