Shiori started as a feature request to our macOS menu bar app called ExtraBar.
The idea was simple, users wanted to have all their bookmarks in the menu bar, quickly accessibly with just their keyboard.
As Shiori grew, more and more feature requests started rolling in... We learned that bookmarks are a serious thing! Some users have more than 10,000 bookmarks (I chose a modest number 😅), and so we decided to turn Shiori into an app of it's own.
Shiori has a robust backend, a web platform, full API support, a macOS app and soon it'll have browser extensions and iOS/Android apps, so your bookmarks can always be with you, no matter where you are.
