About
Keel is an AI mental wellness companion built for people who want more than mood tracking and a simple journal. It sits somewhere between a meditation app and online therapy, not a replacement for either, but the thing that fills the gap between them.
What makes Keel different
The AI remembers. Most wellness chatbots are goldfish, the next session, they don't know who you are. Keel tracks your story across weeks. It notices when what you say today contradicts your check-in data, picks up on avoidance patterns, references past conversations, and adjusts its tone for late-night vs morning.
It uses real therapeutic techniques. CBT, DBT, ACT, and gratitude, applied in open-ended conversation, not scripted decision trees. You don't have to pick a framework upfront. Keel listens first and brings in the right technique when it would actually help.
Privacy comes first. All your journal entries, check-ins, and session history live on your device by default. Nothing syncs without your explicit opt-in. No analytics SDKs. No ad networks. No selling data. Given the recent FTC cases against other mental health apps, this is increasingly rare.
