Tellie is the Mac teleprompter that listens...and understands. It lives in the space around the MacBook notch, right beside the camera, and follows your voice word by word using Apple's on-device speech framework, in more than 40 languages and regional variants. Pause to think, ad-lib a sentence, or skip a line: the script stays with you instead of crawling past on a timer.
Version 1.5 adds Stagehand, which watches the take you are actually giving. Mark the sections you cannot leave without saying and they turn green as you cover them. Add a key phrase and the section still counts when you improvise past it. If a marked section will not fit in the time you have left, Tellie warns you by name while you can still do something about it, and offers to jump you there. When you stop, it shows an honest debrief: your real pace, what you covered, and exactly where you went off script.
Tellie also mirrors Keynote speaker notes into the notch and advances slides when you finish a thought, and any app, terminal, or AI agent can push a line to it.
