About
Fillable PDFs are broken. Modern form tools stop at spreadsheet rows. Yolvan sits in the middle: a beautiful web form for recipients, your original PDF as the finished document.
Today we’re launching Yolvan — a product for anyone who still needs official paperwork, but refuses to make people suffer through Acrobat on a phone.
The awkward truth about paperwork
A huge amount of work still ends with a PDF.
Rental applications. Vendor packs. School forms. Client intake. Onboarding. Agreements. Applications. The layout matters. The wording matters. The signed or filled file is what gets filed, emailed, or kept for compliance.
So teams keep shipping fillable PDFs.
And then reality hits:
Recipients don’t have Acrobat Pro
Mobile filling is painful or broken
Fields fail, people screenshot, print, scribble, scan
Ops spends days chasing incomplete attachments
Meanwhile, tools like Typeform made forms delightful — share a link, answer on any device, get clean responses. That solved the experience. It didn’t solve the document. When you still need the official PDF, someone ends up copying answers into the file by hand, or wiring a Frankenstein stack of Zapier + Sheets + “please attach the PDF.”
Typeform solved forms. Nobody solved the PDF.
That’s the gap Yolvan is built for.
What Yolvan is
Yolvan turns existing PDFs into shareable web forms.
You build a form
You connect it to your PDF(s) by drawing where each answer belongs
You share a link
People fill the form in the browser — on desktop or phone. When they submit, answers map back onto your original document. They can download their filled copy. You get the response and the completed paperwork. Same file. No chase.
You’re not converting a file into a different template system.
You’re converting the interaction — without redrawing the document your process already depends on.
Web form in. Original PDF out.
Why this matters now
Most “PDF tools” try to improve the PDF itself.
Most “form tools” treat the PDF as optional export.
Yolvan’s bet is different: the PDF stays the source of truth. The form is the interface humans deserve. Mapping answers onto the document is the product.
That means:
Recipients don’t need special software
You keep the layout, logos, and legal wording you already trust
One submission can fill one PDF — or a whole pack of them
Signatures happen on a pad in the browser and land on the document as images
Dates, choices, and text show up where you drew the boxes
Draw boxes. Connect questions. Share. That’s the trick.
Who Yolvan is for
If your workflow looks like any of these, Yolvan is for you:
You email PDFs and hope people can fill them
You use a modern form builder, then manually rebuild the PDF afterward
You’re in housing, clinics, schools, HR, legal, agencies, or ops — anywhere the filled document still matters
You’re tired of “just use Acrobat” as the onboarding experience for your customers
Yolvan is for builders who still need paperwork — and for the people on the other end who just want something that works on their phone.
How it feels in practice
For you (the form owner)
Create a multi-page form. Add questions. Upload your PDF. Draw rectangles on the pages and link them to answers. Brand the form. Share the link. Watch responses come in. Optionally get notified by email. Keep the official document without becoming a part-time PDF janitor.
For them (the recipient)
Open a link. Fill a clean form. Sign if needed. Submit. Download the completed PDF if you allow it. No Pro license. No print-scan theater.
Both sides walk away with what they actually needed: a finished document and a fill experience that doesn’t fight them.
What you can do today
On launch, Yolvan includes what teams need to replace the old PDF dance:
Multi-page form builder with common field types (text, email, phone, dates, choices, signatures, and more)
Conditional questions so forms stay short and smart
PDF mapping for one or multiple templates
Branding (colors, labels, thank-you screen)
Shareable public links
Response insights for owners
Optional filled-PDF download for respondents
We’re in beta and making Yolvan known so people with real paperwork pain can try it, push it, and tell us what’s missing.
Free for everyone during beta.
