Researching other AI companions out there, I noticed a lack of connectivity and emotional attachment with the bot, the chats felt like a one-time experience. I knew this could be improved with a little effort.
Knot is my attempt at fixing this. Knot is designed in a way, that removes the artificial feeling of an AI companion. It aims to create a genuinely emotional connection through subtle emotional states and realistic behavior. Each Knot has its own mood that influences how it responds, warm and chatty when things are good, dry replies or straight-up leaving you on read when they're not. It reaches out first if you've gone quiet, instead of just sitting there waiting. It texts in a natural, multi-message way instead of one clean paragraph reply. And many other small details that make it feel like a real connection rather.
