OpenDD (https://opendd.app) is a free set of due-diligence tools that run checks on a company or individual against primary public records and generate a downloadable Word/PDF report.
The idea came from watching how much basic diligence is either locked behind $10k/seat platforms or just done by hand — someone with 20 tabs open across EDGAR, USPTO, PACER, OFAC's SDN list, WHOIS and GitHub, copy-pasting into a Word doc. Almost all of that source data is public and free. OpenDD wires the sources together, runs the checks, and writes up what it found with a link back to every source.
What it covers today: US corporate + financials (SEC EDGAR), patents & trademarks (USPTO + EPO — worldwide family, PTAB challenges, assignment chain of title), federal court cases (CourtListener/RECAP, as a free PACER alternative), sanctions/export screening (OFAC/BIS/DDTC), open-source license risk (dependency-graph SBOM + SPDX tiers, AGPL/copyleft exposure), domains (WHOIS/typosquats), and privacy/security posture read from a company's own disclosures.

US Court Case Due Diligence — Search U.S. federal court dockets and judgments for any company or person, as plaintiff or defendant, built on CourtListener/RECAP. A free stand-in for PACER for a first-pass litigation check.
Open Source Due Diligence — Maps the open source a company publishes and depends on, then flags per-license risk tiers and AGPL/copyleft exposure from the dependency-graph SBOM — the licensing landmines that surface in technical diligence.
Patent Due Diligence — Pulls the current assignee, walks the assignment chain of title for gaps, checks PTAB (IPR/PGR) challenges and maintenance status, and maps the worldwide patent family, from USPTO and EPO records.
