About

I'm a design-adjacent dev who kept losing time digging through nested folders looking for the "right" logo file or 3D asset from six months ago. Cloud DAM tools exist but they're $15-50/month per seat and upload your originals to their servers — overkill for a solo/small team workflow.

So I built Vaultgrid — it indexes your files (PSD, GLB, MOV, OTF, and a dozen other formats) right where they live on your drive. No uploads, no cloud round-trip. Search is sub-10ms because it's a local inverted index, not an API call.

What it does:

- Instant search (⌘K) across filenames, tags, and embedded metadata

- Auto-tags files on import based on type, folder, and filename

- Flags duplicate files so you can reclaim storage

- Works fully offline, nothing leaves your machine

Pricing is one-time $2, not a subscription — wanted it to be genuinely accessible rather than another SaaS tax.

Still early and I'd love feedback, especially from anyone managing large local asset libraries (video editors, 3D artists, designers). What's your current workflow for finding old files?
