Markdown became the format everything arrives in. Agents write it, READMEs live in it, postmortems get drafted in it. But we read it inside editors, and four thousand words in an editor feels like a config file.
Seshat is a reader first: serif headings, one document per window, an outline in the margin that follows your place. Your library is a plain folder at ~/Seshat/ holding files on disk, so nothing is imported or converted. It works from the terminal too: seshat open report.md.
And seshat share notes.md publishes the file and copies a link that reads the same in any browser, with no account needed on the other end.
