Timeline Visualizer is a set of travel map tools that all run in the browser. Export your Google Maps Timeline, drop it in, pick a date range and optional music, and it renders a 9:16 MP4 with your real route drawn on a map, a moving marker and distance counters.
Three more tools sit alongside it: visited-country and visited-state maps, and a photo map built from your own images. Nothing is uploaded — there is no backend and no account, so location history stays on the device.
Getting the data out of Google is the part most people get stuck on, so there is a step-by-step guide on how to export Google Maps Timeline on Android and iPhone, plus a fix for the common empty Timeline.json export.
Core tools are free with no signup; a one-time $2.99 Pro unlock adds map styles, custom music and recap cards, with no subscription. Available in English, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, Vietnamese and Traditional Chinese.
The video tool is a web rebuild of the MIT-licensed open-source google-timeline-visualizer project by mahlernim, so nothing needs installing and the data never leaves the browser.
