Kape turns a raw screen recording into one you would post.
Drop in a recording or a screenshot. Choose a wallpaper, a gradient, a solid colour or your own image for the background. Set the padding, round the corners, cast a shadow. Crop to the part that matters and pick the shape: wide, square, vertical or portrait, so one recording suits every feed. Trim the dead air off each end. Everything updates as you drag.
Export is done in the browser. Every frame is encoded from the source with WebCodecs and written straight to disk as it goes, so a long recording costs time, not memory. A screenshot exports as a PNG.
Nothing is uploaded and there is no account. Kape reads your file from disk and never sends it anywhere.
A Chrome extension records a tab, a window or the screen, with tab audio or the microphone, and opens the recording in the studio when you stop.
