Visual Edit Lite is a free visual editor for WordPress. You edit the website by clicking it: text, images, links, sections, forms and menus change on the live page. On a WordPress block theme it works inside the native block editor (Gutenberg) and adds a floating inspector, responsive controls and section tools, so it serves as a WordPress theme editor without a page builder. On a site converted from static HTML (hand-written, or exported from Lovable, Bolt, v0 or a Claude design) it is the HTML website editor a client can use: every page becomes editable while the markup stays identical to the original design. It also stores form submissions, manages SEO titles and sharing images, and serves an llms.txt for AI crawlers. No licence key, no account, nothing locked.
