Tallystick is a free e-invoicing tool that creates, reads and converts electronic invoices in every major European and US format: XRechnung, ZUGFeRD and Factur-X, Peppol BIS, EN 16931, Poland's KSeF FA(3), Italy's FatturaPA, Spain's Facturae, and US EDI (X12 850/810 and EDIFACT INVOIC).
Users create compliant e-invoices through a guided form or from their own Excel sheet, turn scanned PDF invoices into structured e-invoices with built-in OCR, and open any incoming e-invoice as a readable spreadsheet that shows header fields, line items and the VAT breakdown. A built-in validator checks files against the official XML schemas and business rules before they go out, and accountants can export bookings as a DATEV Buchungsstapel.
Everything runs in the browser. Invoice files are processed on the device and never uploaded, so sensitive billing data stays private. There is nothing to install and no sign-up to start.
Tallystick is available in seven languages (English, German, French, Italian, Polish, Spanish, Dutch) and includes deadline guidance for each country's e-invoicing mandate. Everyday use is free, and a paid plan raises the volume limits for teams. An MCP server lets AI agents create and read invoices programmatically.
