About
Solo project, free, looking for honest feedback from people who actually race.
Kliva started as a trail calendar and turned into a race planner. Two things I'm proud of:
The biggest trail calendar I know of. 31,000+ races across 12,000+ trail, ultra and mountain events in 100+ countries (every distance counts as a race, same as on results pages), pulled from official timing and federation sources, deduplicated and verified, with dates, distances, D+, ITRA points, courses and aid stations. Missing one? Add it in a minute.
The most advanced planner I could build. Pick a race (or upload a GPX) and you get:
Pacing per segment that respects the real climbs and descents, your climber/descender bias and your split strategy, with a fade model calibrated on real race data.
A fueling plan with real products, not "65 g/h". 347 verified gels, bars and drink mixes from 30+ brands, quantized to whole flasks, plus your own products if you want.
Caffeine and sodium dosed by body weight and timed across the race.
Cutoff margins at every aid station, re-anchored to your start wave.
Three scenarios: ideal, normal, hard day.
It all goes on your Garmin. Install the small free Kliva app from the Connect IQ store, pair once with a code, and aid stations, cutoff warnings, fuel reminders and your own markers sync over the air. Change the plan on the site, the watch picks it up. No app? Download a FIT course file and aid stations plus markers load as native course alerts on any Garmin.
Also a printable roadbook with a crew sheet link, and CSV if you like spreadsheets.
What's next: heat and altitude adjustments, custom segments, a race analysis tab for your own GPX, a native mobile app. I ship every week.
Completely free right now while I build it out. No ads, no selling your data.
What I'd love to know: does the pacing feel right for the races you know? Did the aid stations and cutoffs land where they should on the watch? What's missing? Happy to take the hits.
