A lecture PDF can be a place to solve problems, not just highlight them. UnivNote is a handwriting and PDF annotation app built in Swift for iPad, with iPhone and Mac support.

On iPad, extend a page's margins for calculations, keep solutions on separate layers, then hide them to try the question again. Match page numbers to the printed textbook, link related notes, and tap handwriting during synced audio playback to revisit that moment in a lecture.

Up to 20 notes are free. Unlimited Notes is a $9.99 one-time purchase in the US, with no subscription or ads. iPad with Apple Pencil is the recommended writing setup.

Built by Jeonghwan Ryu, with a focus on clear controls and fewer interruptions while studying.
