Monolithos: the Personal Agent OS
Monolithos is the Personal Agent OS: a local-first personal agent for macOS, iOS and Windows. Its memory lives as plain Markdown in a vault on your own disk, so your agent keeps the same memory when you change models, and you can open, search and edit every file yourself. Nothing enters that memory without your approval: new memory candidates land in an inbox first. Work you hand to the agent pauses for your approval before anything consequential, and every result is kept as a file you own. On Mac it also transcribes meetings on-device. Models give your agent intelligence. Monolithos gives it a self.
What's new
Four releases since August: a two-layer memory you can inspect and edit (1.0.1), multi-step AI tasks that pause for your approval, and in 1.0.4 on Mac, on-device meeting transcription and Live Conversation.
