FirstCut

Browser video tools usually begin with a long upload. FirstCut skips it. Your browser pulls only the audio out of each file and sends that for transcription: about 115 MB for two hours of footage, while the multi-gigabyte video stays on your disk. Playback of the cut runs from those local files.

From the transcript, FirstCut assembles a rough cut you can watch and reshape by beat, clip or word, then export to Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or Avid. There is nothing to install and no GPU needed, on any operating system, with source files up to two hours each.
