About
Career Backstory is more than a resume builder. It is an AI-powered assistant for the whole job search, built on your own career story. You tell that story once, in your own words and guided by prompts, and it becomes a library of your roles, accomplishments, skills and tools.
For each job, it reads the posting, rates your fit and names the gaps, assembles a tailored resume and cover letter in one of five formats, and helps you answer the application's questions. It tracks every application from first look to offer, prepares you for each interview, and drafts your follow-ups: after you apply, after each interview, and when an offer arrives.
Between searches, keep your library current with new roles, certifications and wins, so you are ready when the next opportunity comes. It adapts to your situation, from a first job to a career change, a military transition or a return to work. Built by a job seeker. Try the live demo, no sign-up.
