About

Convalesce is building the self-healing layer for data infrastructure.

Today, companies already have tools that can tell them when a production data workflow fails. But the hard part begins after the alert. Engineers still have to piece together what happened across multiple systems, identify the root cause, determine the right fix, and make sure the workflow is healthy again. That process is manual, time-consuming, and often depends on the knowledge of experienced engineers.

We believe that should change.

Convalesce is designed to take on that recovery process. When something breaks, it reconstructs the relevant context, identifies the likely cause, determines the safest recovery action, and verifies that the workflow is running correctly again.

We are starting with human-approved fixes, where engineers remain in control of every action. Over time, as the system learns the environment and earns trust, Convalesce can automatically resolve well-understood, low-risk failures.

Failure recovery is our starting point, not the end goal. The larger vision is an autonomous data engineer that can increasingly operate, maintain, and recover production data systems on its own.

We believe the next generation of infrastructure will do more than monitor what is happening. It will understand what is happening, take action, and recover itself.
