About

Ordel is an AI testing agent for web apps, with a human approval step on everything it does.

Point Ordel at your application and tell it which journey to explore. It drives a real browser, maps the pages it visits, and proposes reusable page objects, shared flows and a Playwright test. Nothing is saved until you accept it.

What Ordel does

  • Requirements to test cases: it reviews a requirement, flags what is vague or untestable, proposes scenarios and generates test cases with expected results.

  • Test cases to automation: it writes Playwright scripts from the test case, the linked requirement and the page code it already has. Steps it cannot map to a real control are flagged, not guessed.

  • Run and debug: breakpoints, step-by-step runs and the live browser on screen, with the evidence kept next to each result.

  • QA agent: ask where your coverage is thin and it suggests the missing tests, cites the evidence behind each one, and labels anything it could not verify as an assumption.

  • Beyond the UI: API checks, data comparison between two systems, and load tests built from a recorded journey (Professional plan).

  • Reports: pass and fail, cycle progress, and an AI summary of what to look at next.

What makes it different

  • Honest verdicts: a test that ran no assertions is never reported as a pass.

  • Self-healing you can review: a broken locator is repaired deterministically, and every repair is a change a person approves. An element that is really gone is reported as a failure, not healed to something else.

  • Tests you own: everything is plain Playwright code you can read, edit, download or connect to Git.

  • You choose the autonomy: Strict, Standard or Autonomous, with the same rules in Ordel and through your coding agent.

Works with your coding agent

Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and GitHub Copilot connect to Ordel over MCP, so your agent can create tests, run them and review results in your team's workspace.
