subtitle.im helps YouTube viewers manage existing captions and avoid duplicate subtitles. The Chrome extension uses local OCR to detect subtitles burned into a video, then helps turn off duplicate YouTube captions after confirmation. Viewers can restore captions when needed. Free features are available, with optional Pro features. It does not generate, translate or download subtitles, or remove burned-in subtitles.
