ChrisGuard is a safety timer for iPhone with iOS 26.0 or later. Before a solo run, hike, date or journey home, set a return time and wait for the server to confirm the session. Check in when you return, or extend the timer before the deadline.
A missed check-in can trigger an SMS alert attempt to the primary contact, the first recipient in the session, with your note and optional location. Contacts need no app. The confirmed deadline stays on the server, but delivery depends on available SMS credit, the service, the SMS provider and mobile networks. Other saved contacts are not automatically sent this server alert.
Contacts, presets and history stay on the iPhone and in the user's private iCloud. Selected alert data is processed on the server and by Twilio. There are no ads or tracking SDKs. ChrisGuard is free to download; use requires a paid subscription starting at EUR 4.99 per month.
