About
Video Ambient Light is a free Chrome and Firefox browser extension that turns the colors of a playing video into a soft, moving background across the surrounding page. It adds ambient lighting to YouTube videos, livestreams, and Shorts, as well as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Facebook Reels. Whether you’re watching a concert, a travel vlog, or a quick clip, the glow follows each scene while keeping the original video and playback controls intact. Adjust brightness, softness, color saturation, spread, and effect frame rate to suit your preferences, with separate on/off switches for each supported platform. No extra lighting hardware, account, or video uploads are needed. Video processing happens locally on your device, and your settings stay in browser storage.
