About
BudgetSmart AI is a personal finance app for the US and Canada. You connect your bank (16,000+ institutions via MX, Finicity and Plaid, read-only, we never see your login), and it does the work: every transaction categorised, bills and subscriptions detected automatically, price hikes and forgotten charges flagged as “money leaks”, and a 90-day cash-flow forecast built from your real bills and income so you know what you’ll have left on the day something big lands. Franklyn is the built-in AI coach: ask “can I afford a $400 flight next month?” and it answers from your actual numbers, not a rule of thumb. Also: receipt scanner that matches receipts to transactions, a document vault Franklyn can read (insurance, mortgage, tax), a what-if simulator for decisions like a new car payment or a job change, net worth, debt payoff, savings goals, and household sharing. It cannot move money. Two plans: Pro $67/year (or $8.97/month) and Family $97/year (up to 5 people). Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, card required, no free tier. Web app today; iOS and Android apps launching. Competitors (Monarch, Rocket Money, YNAB, Simplifi) look backwards at what you spent; BudgetSmart’s job is telling you what’s coming.
