ConvoShelf is a Chrome extension that adds folders to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok. Chats from all four show up in one list, so a Claude chat and a ChatGPT chat can sit in the same folder.
The free plan has unlimited folders with subfolders three levels deep. You can drag a chat from the sidebar onto a folder or press + to file the one you have open, and it works on chats inside ChatGPT Projects. It also has tags and pinned chats, search across the text of every chat you've opened, Markdown or PDF export of the open chat, a prompt library with 10 saved prompts, keyboard shortcuts (Alt+Shift+S, Alt+Shift+F), dark mode, and backup and restore to a JSON file.
Pro is $4.99 once, with no subscription. It adds bulk export of a folder or every chat as Markdown or JSON, JSON export of the open chat, search filters by AI, folder, tag and date, bulk move, tag and pin, folder colors, and unlimited saved prompts.
There is no account and no server. Folders, tags and chat text are stored in your browser's local storage. The only network request is a license check with Polar when you activate Pro. ConvoShelf is not affiliated with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or xAI.
