About
I'm the maker of WA Folders, a Chrome extension for WhatsApp Web (web.whatsapp.com) on a computer. WhatsApp Web shows every chat in one long column. WA Folders adds folder tabs like Family, Work and Clients above that list, with markers for unread chats, replies you owe and reminders that are due.
Search covers chat names, your private notes and the messages WA Folders has seen in chats you opened, with filters for folder, notes or links. Export turns the open chat into HTML, CSV (opens cleanly in Excel), Markdown or JSON.
Follow-ups like "remind me if they don't reply in 1 day" clear themselves when the other person answers. It also has private notes, quick replies, voice notes to text, translation between Portuguese, English and Spanish, a privacy blur, and optional AI agent access so Claude Desktop, Cursor or another MCP app on your computer can read the folders you allow (off until you turn it on).
Folders, notes and the search index stay in chrome.storage.local in your browser. No account, no analytics, no ads and no WA Folders server. It never sends a message for you: no bulk send, broadcasts or auto-replies.
The free plan has no time limit: 5 folders, 5 search results and 3 exports a day. Pro is a one-time $4.99 payment with no subscription. Available in English, Español, Português (Brasil), Hindi, Bahasa Indonesia and Arabic. Not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta.
