About
Search optimization inside Claude Code
Akii: SEO & AI Search Optimizer is a free, MIT-licensed plugin for developers and website owners who work in Claude Code. It provides SEO, answer engine optimization and generative engine optimization tools inside an existing terminal or IDE workflow. It uses the model available in the customer's Claude Code session.
Audit, improve and plan
The plugin contains 12 skills, five agents and three commands. Skills cover individual tasks, while agents support explicit requests for deeper, multi-step work. The commands support topic research, content creation and checks on a selected file.
Its main workflows include:
• Auditing websites and reviewing technical search issues.
• Finding broken links and improving internal linking.
• Comparing pages and competitors.
• Improving page titles, metadata, content and structured data.
• Planning content, preparing briefs and grouping keywords.
• Creating JSON-LD schema and llms.txt files.
• Translating content with local search considerations.
The plugin can work with public URLs and local project files. This lets a developer examine a problem, prepare changes and review the result within the same working environment. Installation and update instructions are published in its GitHub repository.
AI search analysis and optional data sources
AI visibility analysis uses public web signals or observations supplied through a connected Ahrefs Brand Radar service. It presents the sources and limits behind the analysis. The plugin does not directly query the named AI engines or provide continuous hosted visibility tracking.
Ahrefs and Apify connections can add data when available. PageSpeed Insights can supply performance measurements. These services are optional, and their availability and costs follow their own access terms. The plugin can otherwise use Claude Code's built-in tools and local files.
Access and compatibility
The plugin runs locally on macOS or Linux within Claude Code. Windows environments may need additional compatibility support, so native Windows is not represented as a fully supported platform.
Akii charges no plugin subscription, account fee or usage charge. No Akii account or payment card is required. The MIT licence permits personal and commercial use, subject to its licence conditions. Claude Code access, model usage and optional third-party data services are separate.
Users and support
The toolkit is intended for developers, founders, SEO specialists, content teams and agencies working on websites. The public repository contains setup documentation, usage examples and guidance for reporting issues or asking questions. It is a local plugin rather than a hosted marketing dashboard or a managed search optimization service.
