About
Textwhisk is a macOS menu-bar utility for people who work with text every day. Select text in any Mac app and a floating bar puts actions beside it, without opening a separate editor.
Built-in tools include changing case, counting words and characters, appending to your clipboard, saving favorites, and converting recognized prices. You can also summarize selected text or web links, and translate into 43 languages.
Create your own buttons two ways. Rule-based actions run JavaScript you paste in, locally on your Mac. Prompt-based actions send your selection and saved instructions to the AI provider you choose. A library of 24 Text Recipes helps you start.
Requirements: Apple Silicon (M-series) Macs. The current build is not notarized by Apple, so the installation steps explain how to open it and grant the Accessibility permission it needs. AI actions need your own provider key and may incur provider charges.
Pricing: a one-time $6 USD launch price for one Mac, with no subscription and no free trial.
