About

DiffCue explains your uncommitted git changes, whether you wrote them or an AI agent did. Instead of a one-shot summary from your agent, you step through the code yourself, hunk by hunk, each with its own explanation and chat. You understand what you're committing, and you keep up with your own codebase even when an agent writes most of it. Your code goes only to the AI provider you choose, never to DiffCue.

Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code, and Windsurf write code quickly. The slow part now is working out exactly what changed, so you can trust it enough to commit.

  • Subtly wrong: it looks fine at a glance but fails on an edge case you'd have caught if you'd read it yourself.

  • Bloated: three files and a new abstraction for something one line would have done.

  • Off-spec: it runs, but it isn't what you asked for.

DiffCue reads every hunk an agent touched and explains each one in place, so the change that matters doesn't slip past in a quick skim.
