xmcp

xmcp is an open-source TypeScript framework for building and shipping Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. Developers write TypeScript functions to give AI applications access to tools, data, and workflows.

It supports file-based tools, prompts, and resources, with schema validation, hot reload, middleware, HTTP and stdio transports, and deployment adapters. Start a project with npx create-xmcp-app@latest, then develop your server using familiar TypeScript patterns.

The framework is free and licensed under MIT. Documentation, guides, and examples are available at xmcp.dev, with source code at github.com/basementstudio/xmcp. The official read-only documentation MCP server is also available at https://xmcp.dev/mcp.
