Outseen gives engineering teams cost control over new AWS resources. It reads CloudTrail through EventBridge, so it sees resources launched from the console, the CLI or Terraform across the AWS services it prices today, including EC2, RDS, S3 and SageMaker. For each launch it estimates the provisioned monthly cost with live regional AWS prices (usage-based charges such as data transfer and request pricing sit outside the estimate) and routes an approval request to the right person. Approvers can approve, reject or request a downsize by email, with Slack in beta. Policies set thresholds by team, account, region or resource type, with up to three escalation levels. Optional auto-quarantine can stop rejected or ignored EC2 and RDS resources after a grace period: opt-in only, and only for resources carrying a tag you choose. Outseen never deletes anything, and its IAM role is read-and-tag by default.
