Linktwos is an iOS app that helps you find the people who can help you. You type in what you’re looking for, whether that’s a technical co-founder or someone who’s taken an app from zero to its first thousand users, and you get the people you need straight back.
Setting up takes a couple of minutes. Upload your CV and Linktwos fills in your experience, education and bio for you. You can also build your profile by hand or just tell the matchmaker about yourself. The matchmaker learns what you’re working on, so it helps you work out what to ask as well as who to ask. It can also search your Linktwos contacts, so you can quickly find someone you’ve already connected with.
The best matches are two-way, where you can each help the other, but a match can also go just one way. Either way, a conversation only starts once both people agree to it. Linktwos isn’t a social media platform. It’s built to get you to the right person quickly.
There’s also a separate events mode for conferences. It shows you who’s there and finds the people worth meeting, and you can book meetings with them during the event. Organisers can also run speed networking sessions through the app.
Why we built it
I run an events company alongside Linktwos, and I kept seeing the same problem at conferences and in my own work. Finding the right person when I actually needed them was hard. When I did find them it took far too long, or they never replied. My co-founder and I built Linktwos to be the tool we always wanted.
Pricing
Linktwos is free to use, with premium features for anyone who wants more. Conferences and event organisers license it for their events.
Available on the App Store from 2 November, with Android coming very soon.
