About
Spacetile arranges your windows for you. Each window gets its own Tile on the Desktops you already use, so nothing overlaps and nothing gets lost behind something else. It works with your Mac rather than replacing parts of it: full screen, Split View, swiping between Desktops and the green button’s tiling all keep working, and Spacetile rearranges the other windows around whatever macOS did. You don’t change any security settings to use it.
The parts I use every day:
⌥1 to ⌥0 switch Desktops with no slide animation, and ⌥⇧1 to ⌥⇧0 send the focused window to another one.
A Profile saves which apps go on which Desktop and how each one tiles. A Focus can apply one, so turning on Writing lays out my editor and notes.
Drag a window onto another Tile to swap or insert it, or drag the gap between two Tiles to resize both.
Every action is also a text command, from the
spacetilecommand line, the config file or Raycast.
There are a few things it leaves to macOS. You add and remove Desktops in Mission Control, as you do now, and Spacetile can’t pin a window to every Desktop. Spacetile compared sets it beside yabai, AeroSpace and the rest, row by row, and Why I built Spacetile covers how I got here.
