Sentien

Sentien grew out of our work on mobile EEG research at the University of Oldenburg, where labs needed a way to match brain and body signals with real-world events without manually reviewing hours of recordings. We realized that across both research and commercial hardware, billions of devices already have microphones but remain deaf to their surroundings because nobody wants constant audio recording. Sentien exists to close that gap by turning ambient sound directly into structured text logs (events, room type, and activity) without ever storing raw audio, giving devices situational awareness while keeping user privacy intact.
