About
I kept giving tasks 30 minutes, spending an hour on them, then making the same optimistic plan the next day.
I wanted a planner that would help me learn from those days. So I built Personal Planner.
You put tasks on a day or week timeline, start a timer when you work, and compare the time you planned with the time you actually spent.
The review is what matters most to me. Your completed tasks, unfinished work and notes stay together. You can write why something slipped, look back at the week and use that history when planning again.
A few other things it includes:
Recurring tasks and templates for regular plans
An inbox for ideas you want to schedule later
Experiments to try a routine for a few weeks and track how it goes
A consistency heatmap, streaks, and backup and restore
It runs on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android. Everything works offline without an account. If you want cross-device sync, you can set it up through your own Supabase project.
It's free and open source, with no subscriptions or paid features.
I use it every day. If you try it, I'd like to know whether the reviews help you make a more realistic plan for tomorrow.
