QuietSpeech

QuietSpeech is a menu bar dictation app for Mac. Hold Fn, speak, and the text appears wherever your cursor is, in any app. It runs on Apple's speech recognizer and Apple Intelligence, so there is no API key to set up and dictation works offline. Select text and say how to change it to rewrite it, or ask it to write something new. Add your own words and names to the vocabulary so they come out right. It uses under 60 MB of memory, needs no account and sends no telemetry. The source is on GitHub under GPLv3. $29 once for two Macs, with no subscription and a 14-day refund. Requires macOS 26 on Apple silicon.
