FixMyScan

Tired of chaining desktop tools to fix one scanned book? FixMyScan does what people usually stitch together from ScanTailor, k2pdfopt and OCRmyPDF, in the browser and in one upload: crop margins across the whole book, whiten grey pages, sharpen faint text, add a searchable text layer and compress the result. A 300-page book comes out around 9 MB, small enough for Send to Kindle's 50 MB limit. Nothing to install. First book free, then $9.99 a week or $79.99 a year.
