XIndex is a native macOS project finder built for developers who have projects scattered across their Mac. It scans your chosen folders, indexes your projects locally, and lets you search, organize, and launch them in seconds—no accounts, no cloud, fully sandboxed.
Version 1.0 shipped the core experience:
- Scan for Xcode projects (.xcodeproj, .xcworkspace, Swift packages)
- Instant search + filters, tags, and favorites
- Onboarding flow with Scan All / Scan Folder
- One‑click open in Xcode and Reveal in Finder
- Privacy‑first, fully sandboxed, native SwiftUI UI
Version 1.1 expanded and polished the app:
- Multi‑IDE launchers: VS Code, Cursor, Antigravity, Terminal, and Git GUI apps
- IDE auto‑detection so menus only show what’s installed
- Broader project detection (Flutter + Android Studio)
- Full UI reskin with a new theme, custom context menu, and new app icon
- Reliability fixes: scan roots respected, better Swift Package + Git detection, layout and visual
