Finding beta users on the internet is a real struggle. Getting quality feedback is even worse, but it’s also essential.
This part of building a SaaS gave me so much trouble that I decided to build a product to fix it. That’s how TestYourApp was born.
The concept is simple: you test someone else’s product and earn a credit. You can spend these credits to get detailed feedback and testimonials for your homepage.
I released the MVP four weeks ago, and there are about fifty of us on the platform today. It’s just the beginning, but I believe in it. If you’d like to join us, you’re very welcome. All features are free.
How is the quality of feedback ensured?
Through two mechanisms.
First, feedback is collected through structured forms organized by theme (UI, UX, bugs, features, and business model), with mandatory questions.
Second, all completed tests are rated by app owners. If a tester’s average rating drops below 3, their tests become free to open and no longer earn credits. They can exit this mode by improving their average rating.
What about future plans?
The project is still at the very beginning of its life. Many new features are planned.
In the coming months, the main goal is to build a large enough user base so that tests are delivered quickly. To achieve this, I will continue promoting the site and improving it continuously.
Once this goal is reached, I plan to add a credit marketplace. The golden rule is that no credit that does not represent a real completed test will ever be sold. The system would work as follows:
Users will be able to sell their credits for real money, for example in packs of 10
Founders who prefer to pay rather than test other apps will be able to buy these credit packs
Pricing will be set by an algorithm to balance supply and demand
